Oakshott fabrics - new patchwork quilt is in the making using one pack of Lipari fat 8ths

I started off with one pack of fat 8th from
which you can buy from www.aiguilleeboutique.com

I sewed different colors together to make a square, then with another colour I cut and used  the
reverse applique technique to make the round shapes.

I decided to place them with alternate stripes

I'm using the scraps to sew together and make a border for the quilt.

I'm quilting by hand with a multiple coloured thread in diagonals about 4cm apart

I shall then be turning over the black backing to sew onto the coloured border.
Shall I do this by hand or machine?

The finished quilt in the next blog article.   Please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.
